Back in Anchortown, again! ;-)

Happy trails everyone!

The weekend is coming quickly, looks like Steve & I will be home alone.
Michelle and Alexis are going home tonight due to the unmentionable...
Very sad that life is so difficult :-(
Things will come around, karma is a good thing!
We have a good life, just a lot of unnecessary
expensive bumps in the road.

I love my family and friends for all of their support.
Thank you!

Alana & I met at Peanut Farm for lunch!

Steve was sooo happy with his elusive lake trout.
Not so elusive this year, we found a hole

Hunter & Alexis are two peas in a pod too.
The lake looked like the ocean with chop.

Hunter went frog hunting at our secret lake.
I told him after the release that he would
get warts from touching the frog.
Good times, good times! ;-)

2 more weeks and back to work...

On the run again...
We have to get the motor home and Klammath ready to take to Tangles Friday after Hunter gets out of camp. There will be six of us traveling plus Lucky...this is our last big family hoorah before school gets underway. Shrimping is open until Sept 15, but the seas do not always cooperate. Our time on the Bayliner could be limited. We probably have enough shrimp for winter just in case the weather skunks us. We are going to try to go to Chitina for one last haul of second run reds. The river is flooding big time right now. Not sure how the rest of the summer/fall will go...we are supposed to be hunting together on our anniversary. We will see what can we do logistically???
I go back to work on August 3.
I am thankful to have a job I love
and a paycheck coming in again.
Yehooo ;-) Heather

;-) Getting ready to go shopping with grammie.

;-) Had a great time with mom...
will do again soon!

Sun and friends in Fairbanks!

Hunter & I had a great time in Fairbanks with Holly and the kids. We have not visited them in five years...it was nice to catch up ;-) We made salsa and had nachos with guacamole. Just like old times. We had a quick visit to Pioneer Park or Alaskaland as most know it. Hunter was sad to leave. Made it home in time to find out that it is flooding in Chitina for the second time this summer. Next week, Michelle and Alexis are coming and we need to get ready for our big Tangles trip next Friday night. I am taking my mom shopping at 11 so gotta run and get ready. Wanted to share pics...hope they export to Facebook???

On the way in to Alaskaland!

Family dinner with Chris!

Happy Monday!

We had a wonderful Italian caribou sausage spaghetti dinner! We have not had a family dinner since...I cannot remember when. It gave us a good reason to clean house which has also not happened since...Mel and the gang came the first time?
A fun filled week ahead with Hunter, who also has Scout camp the next week, then we are off to Tangles with Michelle & Alexis the last week! Yehoo ;-) After that I go back to work...it is coming quick. Thank goodness I love my job!

Happy trails to all,
Heather

What an awesome weekend!

Home sweet home!
I am blogging now because we have about 40 lbs of meat to process tomorrow, as well as clean the house and make a big family dinner for Chris, Chuck, Doreen, Hunter, mom, and dad. Hunter will be home in the morning and Melly is coming tomorrow night until Thursday, double yehoo;-) Hunter and I are flying to Fairbanks on Thursday to see a dear friend we have not seen in eons. We may go to Alaskaland or Chena Lakes too.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
