Halloween week...

Happy weekend!
Hunter all decked out.

Hunter raced his boat in the rain gutter regatta on Thursday at scouts. He did an awesome job and took 1st place. This was after the Fall Festival at Aquarian, where we ate chili to our hearts content and enjoyed the fun of costumes, candy, and the haunted woods.

Marina is Sierra from
Total Drama World Tour.

I bought a set w/horns, tail, and a wand,
very fitting if my husband had been around.

Hunter is a skeleton.

Marina wanted me to take this...?
the end of the road for us this day.

We had a reprieve on Friday & actually got to enjoy the day, shopping and hanging with my handsome hubby, who was off for other reasons...ha! I went to the UAA Halloween carnival with the kids this afternoon. Steve stayed home to finish making moose pepperoni and get started making cheesy halibut in dill sauce for dinner. Now we're all cleaning house and getting ready for my mom's 75th birthday on Monday. Lots to do and a very little time to do it.

Happy Halloween eve to all!
Take care,
Heather

Happy trails!

The view of Mt. Denali!

From our living room!

An unexpected surprise visit...
actually two extra visits,
& again in November too, yehoo!

We made the most wonderful maple sausage!
Steve fried up 2 pieces right out of the grinder.

We eat pretty good around here.
Now off to Church for family bible study
& Marina's Confirmation class.
I can't believe the weekend is almost over.
Have a terrific week everyone!
Take care, Heather

Yea, it's almost Friday!

Awards & cake auction last Thurs!

We're still eating carrot cake from the auction.
Very nummers, walnuts, raisins,
and gooey creme cheese frosting!

Pizza Olympia for dinner Friday night!
Appetizers, pizza, yummy salads, and a gyro!
Lots of leftovers...

The kids got to play DS
for the 1st time in weeks.
They did all their chores +
and got 30 minutes of privileges.

Steve got home really late last night from SEA, so I'm sure we'll be in bed early tonight. The weekends coming and I love sleeping in with my hubby! I saw the Rheumatologist today and got a sample of Embrel. I hope I'll feel better overall when this pain goes away. I'm grumpy and sad when I'm in pain. I think the weekend will require a lot of rest to recoup! Kids are off to the other parents this weekend and the PFDs landed in ye ol' bank account, yehoo! I see the light...

Happy trails everyone!
Wherever they may lead.
Heather

Home alone...again!

Being sick is no fun :-(

I made Italian meatballs filled with
sauteed onion, garlic, and cheese,
very nummers!

Steve's plate...

My plate,
I only ate 2 of the meatballs,
not much of an appetite,
just enough to take meds.

I am proud to say,
we grew the cucumbers,
the toms came from Ruby's garden,
we made our Italian sausage,
and we eat damn good!

p.s. garlic bread 4 kids not pictured,
but that was homemade too!

Last Thursday's
Gladys Wood Football Jamboree!

Aquarian won all three games.

They were good sportsman.

and we were all very proud!

Ya know, my fav, the moon!

I must be out of it,
home for the week &
this is my first post!

Visited the doctor again this a.m.,
here's to not getting worse &
hopefully getting on the mend.
Stopping into work tomorrow,
to pick up work for next week.
I miss my work.

Almost the weekend again...
time flies, even when your not having fun.
Take care out there!
Heather

OMG

We are celebrating!

Thanks to Ken and his big scissors...
I cannot express how thankful we are
for his ambition and thoughtfulness.

We celebrated by taking the kids to dinner.
Life is good in the Brekke house.
It's almost Friday, yehoo!

Thank goodness Friday is payday!

I'm very thirsty...

and the bank account resembles an empty glass, ugh! Payday is Friday...yehoo! Maybe a night of dancing and toddies at Eddies??? We don't have the kids this weekend and I am going to try to convince Steve a night out will do us some good. If his new earlier hours at work don't put him to bed early Friday night.

Steve took a truck load to the dump yesterday, and now the yard is finally cleared out of extra stuff. The weekend will bring the opposite of spring cleaning, it's fall and it's time to put everything from summer away. Oh yea, and mow the leaves covering the back yard; we need to get rid of that cottonwood tree.

The work week is officially in full swing with Steve's new schedule starting today. I was at South High yesterday when the earthquake shook the building...the kids were under the tables pronto! Gotta love preparedness! I'm off to get ready for our day...have a great week! ~Heather
